Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy has been shown to improve balance, minimize falls, decrease dizziness, and enhance overall stability.

Neuro Massage

We offer rehabilitation for people with Spinal Cord Injury, Brain Injury, CONCUSSIONS, Stroke, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS and other neurological conditions that often result in muscle weakness, paralysis, loss of balance or coordination, inability to ambulate and loss of functional independence. PTS is also a certified ImPACT Neurocognitive Concussion testing facility. You and the athletic population now have access to the very tool used by the NFL, NHL and colleges.

Vestibular Rehabilitation

Our vestibular physical therapists treat a wide range of conditions that can result in dizziness and imbalance – including, but not limited to:

  • Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV)
  • Labyrinthitis
  • Vestibular neuritis
  • Ménière’s disease
  • Acoustic neuroma
  • Perilymph fistula
  • Inner ear concussion syndrome
  • Traumatic brain injury

A comprehensive evaluation is performed on each patient when he or she enters the program to determine the specific nature of the vestibular dysfunction. An individualized treatment plan is then developed by the vestibular physical therapist. This plan may include:

  • Balance retraining, utilizing both static and dynamic balance exercises
  • Sensory organization training
  • Gaze stabilization exercises
  • Habituation exercises
  • Compensatory strategies
  • Canalith repositioning treatment (CRT) for BPPV
  • The Epley maneuver
  • The Semont maneuver
  • Brandt-Daroff exercises
  • Aerobic conditioning
  • A customized home exercise program
